Star power hit a home run at Sunday’s Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk with baseball hero and surprise guest Clayton Kershaw, who joined AGT host and comedian Howie Mandel, fitness icon Brooke Burke, St. Louis Cardinals baseball player Brendan Donovan, Skechers executives and thousands of walkers on a day of hope, love and inclusion. Now in its 17th year, the Walk raised more than $3.2 million for children with special needs, public schools, and national college scholarships—bringing the event’s total to over $31 million to date.

The Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk, presented by Nickelodeon, kicks off its 17th year of hope, love and inclusion for children on Sunday, October 19—aiming to raise $2.5 million in support of youth with special needs, public schools and national college scholarships. Joined by Howie Mandel, Brooke Burke, the cast of Love on the Spectrum and more, the heartwarming event will unite thousands across the region to rally for kids in need.

The 2024 Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk broke all fundraising and attendance records in its 16-year history—blowing past its $2.5 million fundraising goal to raise more than $3.4 million for kids. Together with returning presenting sponsor Nickelodeon, Brooke Burke, Sugar Ray Leonard and nearly 22,000 registrants, last Sunday’s event reached a new Walk milestone—raising more than $27 million to date for children with special needs, public schools and national college scholarships.

The Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk celebrated its 15th anniversary event with more than $3 million raised for children with special needs, public education, and national scholarships—totaling over $24 million in donations since its inception in 2009. Thousands of registrants contributed to these causes at the milestone event, which was supported by Presenting Sponsor Kinecta Federal Credit Union and over 100 generous businesses and donors, and featured Brooke Burke, Mr. T and Amanda Kloots along with performances from Young Selena singer and America’s Got Talent golden buzzer winner Madison Taylor Baez, Team Siwa’s pop group XOMG POP! and teen group FuturePop.

The Skechers Foundation announced that the organization has reached a new annual record—raising over $3.1 million in donations for children with varying abilities and education through the Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk. The annual Partner Appreciation event was held on Thursday, March 30, to celebrate the education foundations, which received fund distributions from the Walk, and included a $1 million check for the Friendship Foundation. The evening was attended by celebrities Dani Bowman and Madison Taylor Baez and supported by Presenting Sponsor Kinecta Federal Credit Union and more than 100 companies.
